Slotted Shoulder Screws: rfq

RAB Components prides itself on being one of the leading North America manufacturers of standard and custom slotted shoulder screws. Also known as shoulder bolts, our shoulder screws are designed to meet precise and critical joining and alignment requirements of various industrial products.

Features and Applications of Slotted Shoulder Screws

Slotted shoulder screws are similar to captive panel screws, but consist of a few changes in its physical dimensions. Shoulder screws are larger in shoulder diameter, and the socket is inserted at the top of the head. The socket feature allows the user to use a screw driver to apply the right amount of torque during installation. The large shoulder provides additional support and aids alignment when the screw is installed in a component.

At RAB Components, we offer our slotted shoulder screws in three materials – brass, steel, and stainless steel. If required by the customer, we can also manufacture them in copper and aluminum. The standard shoulder diameter range is between 1/8 inch and 3/16 inch. However, we can customize our screws with diameters ranging from 1/4 inch to 5/16 inch. The basic threading begins at #4-40, and can be increased up to #8-32. We also offer slotted shoulder screws in standard and metric types.

Our slotted shoulder screws are the perfect solution for joining two components in a product assembly process. They can also be used in applications where the alignment between two components is a critical factor:

  • Dies
  • Stands
  • Presses
  • Fixtures
  • Surgical Tools
  • Enclosures
  • Imaging Equipment
  • Orthopedics
